The Expressive Arts Gallery
A Celebration of student art and creative process
“Speaking Up” - A triptych by Susan & Phil, Jess and April
- I speak up to ...
• ask questions
• to be there for others
• and to share my feelings.
- When I speak up I feel...
relieved
I feel love
I feel glad that people hear and understand me.
- I speak up for others ...
by writing things.
I help others learn how to say what they want to say.
I speak up when someone doesn’t know what to say
I help others when I reach out to them to be part of what I’m doing, to be part of
the group - I show that I value them.
Sometimes it’s hard to speak up but sometimes it’s not. You can always ask for
help when you need it.
We can all speak up.
We can raise our voices. — Katharine
Jess’ Dream
I dreamed we were all at the Meeting House.
We were all laughing and dancing.
We were getting ready for a show, then a huge audience came pouring into the room.
It was a nice dream to be together again.
